The Sisters 'Better Half' Marathon takes place Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 9 a.m. We hope to make this race as local as possible--highlighting many of the great businesses and services that Sisters has to offer!  Proceeds from this event will benefit the Sisters High School Swim Team.

You may complete a 1/4 Marathon (6.55 miles) or a 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles) as an individual.  The course is a single, 6.55 mile loop, so 1/4 marathoners complete one loop and 1/2 marathoners complete two loops.  You can also complete the race with a teammate!  Each member will run or walk one loop.  There are three relay options: The 'Better Half' (male/female partners), Female/Female Partners and Male/Male Partners. NEW for this year-overall and age-group winners will receive a Sisters Half trucker hat.

Start/Finish: All events start and finish at Village Green Park in downtown Sisters, Oregon.  All events start at 9 a.m. Spectators will get multiple opportunities to see participants come by the park, so bring your crew to come out and cheer! Circa 1880 will be there serving fresh brewed coffee and cold brew mochas before the start and after the finish-available free to participants and for purchase to spectators as well. Local beverages provided by Three Creeks Brewing at the finish--stay and reward yourself for a race well run (or walked!) If you plan to take advantage of the great Three Creeks beer please BRING YOUR ID!

Packet Pick-up: There are two options for packet pick-up: FRIDAY, MAY 10 from 3 pm-7 pm at SISTERS ATHLETIC CLUB in Sisters and on race day, SATURDAY, MAY 11 from 7:30 am-8:30 am at VILLAGE GREEN PARK.  If these times don't wok for you, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your needs!

Parking:  Parking is available around Village Green Park.  Please carpool, if possible, to limit congestion and please be mindful of private property.

Prizes: Registration includes an event t-shirt (t-shirts NOT guaranteed after April 15, 2017).  All finishers receive a pint glass with a ticket for ONE free drink from Three Creeks Brewing for those over 21 years of age.  PLEASE BRING YOUR ID!

Aid Stations: There will be two aid stations on the loop, plus an additional aid station for half marathoners on their second loop.  Aid stations will have water, Gatorade and gels.

Time Limit
: The course closes at 12:30 p.m.

Medical Assistance: Trained medical professionals will be available should you need aid.

Refunds:  All registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE but if something comes up, please give us a call--we'd like to help!

Weather:  Spring weather in Central Oregon can mean just about anything from snow to warm sun.  Expect to wear layers and be prepared should we get a more winter-y day.  You will be able to drop gear at the start and at aid stations.

Ipods/Strollers/Dogs:  MP3 players are allowed; please be aware and use caution as the course is still open to traffic.  Strollers are allowed and all sections of the course are very stroller-friendly.  Dogs are not allowed.
